WHAT ARE THE SPECIFICS OF THE VALENTINE HILL FARM CSA for 2012?
CSA, (for Community Supported Agriculture) is a way for the food buying public to create a relationship with a farmer and to receive a weekly basket of fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from Valentine Hill Farm. Your membership is an investment in our seasonal planting. Thank you for your support and confidence in our farm and mission to provide healthy, sustainable, chemical-free foods.
We will offer 3 CSA season options this year: a short spring season, a short fall season, and a long summer season. The spring season will start on April 7, 2012 and end on May 19, 2012 (7 weeks). Our summer season will start on June 8, 2012 and end on October 26, 2012 (21 weeks). The winter season will start on November 3, 2012 and end on December 15, 2012 (7 weeks). You may sign up for one season only, all three seasons, or any combination of two seasons. Sign-up and payment deadlines: March 30, 2012 for the spring season, June 1, 2012 for summer season and October 27, 2012 for the winter season.
Please note: To contain costs, we can no longer replace shares which are not picked up.
We offer four types of shares: large, large with baked goods, small, and small with baked goods.
- A large share will provide seasonally available fruits and vegetables for four people.
- A large share with baked goods will additionally include one of our organic bakery items per week.
- A small share will provide seasonally available fruits and vegetables for two people.
- A small share with baked goods will additionally include one of our organic bakery items per week.
