WHAT ARE THE SPECIFICS OF THE VALENTINE HILL FARM CSA?
CSA, (for Community Supported Agriculture) is a way for the food buying public to create a relationship with a farmer and to receive a weekly basket of fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from Valentine Hill Farm. Your membership is an investment in our seasonal planting. In good years your return will be bountiful in the not so good years your return will be less. Thank you for your support and confidence in our farm and mission to provide healthy sustainable organic foods.
Our CSA will start the week of June 4, 2010 and run continuously for twenty-two (22) weeks, ending October 30, 2010. If you plan to be on vacation during the season please advise us at least one week before to make alternate arrangements.
We offer four types of shares: large, large with baked goods, small, and small with baked goods.
- A large share will provide seasonally available fruit and vegetables for four people.
- A large share with baked goods will additionally include one bakery item per week (your choice of a loaf of our whole grain bread, a six-ounce package of our pasta, a package of our specialty cookies or cakes, or a package of any variety of our English muffins).
