Since 2005 Valentine Hill Farm has been supplying locally grown organic chemical free produce, fruit and baked goods to our customers. All our produce is grown locally by us on our Zionsville, Indiana farm and you will never need worry about the origin of your food when you purchase from us. For 2008 we will launch the Valentine Hill Farm Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) membership program.
We try to keep this site listing up to date, however, our product availability changes daily so please check our site often or call if you have a specific question.
We never use GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) materials on our farm. We take great care in researching all our vendors to be certain that their products have been certified by an independent third party to be GMO free. If we are in doubt we do not purchase.
We do not use pesticides, herbicides or petroleum based fertilizers on our farm. Our position is that if the soil is healthy the plants are healthy. We keep our soil and farm healthy by encouraging beneficial insects, companion plantings, balanced soil nutrition and organic content, well water and good old finger power to keep the plants healthy.
Produce:
We grow a large assortment of seasonal vegetables specializing in tomatoes, peas, beans and salad greens. Our selection changes throughout the season so be sure to visit us at one of the farmer’s markets that we attend. Though we try to keep our web catalog up to date we can not guarantee that everything we have listed will be available.
Bakery Products:
Our bakery items start out with the finest organic ingredients we can find. We strive to buy these ingredients as close to central Indiana as we can. Our baked goods are artesian and hand finished. Our wheat flours, soy flour, and spelt flour are 100% whole grain, certified organic. We use hard white winter wheat, which has a mild sweet flavor compared to its kissing cousin hard red winter wheat. Both wheat are equal in nutrition, vitamins, fiber and minerals.
All the oils we use are certified GMO free and do not contain any preservatives or alcohol propellents. Our preferred oil is Canola which has is a very light body, mild flavor and naturally high in Omega-3 essential fat.
